    • TeachApp, an Android based app of British Council Nepal in collaboration with FOCUSONE Nepal won the Juror’s Mentions Award at the mBillionth Award South Asia held on July 23, 2016 in New Delhi, India. It was nominated along with 50 apps under the “Learning and Education” category.

      Launched under the initiative of British Council Nepal’s NIITE (National Initiative to Improve Teaching in English) Project, TeachApp is a teaching resource app. It functions as a project management tool and as a medium of communication with the British Council in Nepal. Once downloaded, most of the teaching resources can be accessed offline. The app is designed to connect teachers from both rural and urban areas by providing relevant classroom teaching materials.

      Since 2010, the mBillionth Award has been recognizing innovations in mobile communications from South Asia. This year, the theme of Award was ‘Transforming Lives with Mobile’ and the competition saw 348 mobile apps competing in 10 categories—Agriculture & Environment, Business & Commerce, Culture & Tourism, Early Stage, Learning & Education, Government & Citizen Engagement, Inclusion & Empowerment, Health & Well Being, Media & Entertainment, and Smart Settlements & Urbanisation.
